This is what may be called a "first strategy game".Sure, most of winning or losing is based on the roll of the dice, but there's also a strategy element there too.Where you decide to put those flowers makes a differences, so there are consequences for decisions in addition to just luck.
Furthermore, the game can be played at several different difficulty levels, so it can grow with the people playing it.In fact, it's impossible to play exactly the same game twice because even at the basic level, with the cards "flowers up", it is highly unlikely that all sixteen "meadow cards" will be layed out in the same order two nights in a row.
My only criticism is that the English directions were written in such a way (obviousely translated from another language) that I had to figure out the point of the game myself. In the section that describes game play, the instructions to "roll the die" aren't even explicitely stated.
Still, now that I've got it figured out, it's a lot of fun.I hope my kids think so because I'm ready to play again.
Day 2: My kids want to play it again! It's a hit!
