We got this for our 10 year old so she wouldn't have to take her keychain out of her backpack.It stays clipped in at all times to avoid loosing her keys.She just pulls out the retractable cord, unlocks the door, and back it goes, ready for tomorrow.If the cord was longer I'd give it 5 stars.
