My sons are into building things - legos, standard unit blocks and anything they can get their hands on. They do like this set and didn't even need to look at the instructions to build the outside. Because of the odd dimensions of these Haba blocks, they cannot be integrated into other structures and thus put a limit of creativity. If the dimensions are consistent with standard unit blocks, they will get taken out more often to play. Also, this set has just enough blocks to make the pyramid in the picture, so there is no way to close the pyramid's "door".
