Walker Wagon Review

Walker WagonThis is a wonderful walker for very young children as it is heavy enough so the child won't fall down. On the other hand it is difficult to tun, but my daughter doesn't seem to care (almost 11 MO old). She stops and turn it while seating. She loves to bang it on the door (very noisy). The wheels are very silent on the floor. She likes when a cat (or a friend or a stuff animal) seats on it. She puts many things in it (blocks, duplo, ... and goes around). The great thing that I have noticed is that with this walker (contrarily to the plastics one of the playgroups) she stands up straight when she walks. I think she feels secure and she knows that it won't flip over.

Educo Fill'n Build Block Cart Review

Educo Fill'n Build Block CartWe were very excited when we saw this toy in the store. It is exactly what we were looking for - a walking toy for our little guy (11 months) that was quite simple looking. We were very disappointed when we put it together. It's extremely unstable. The front is far too light (even when piled with multiple heavy hard cover books!) and therefore is difficult for our little guy to use as leverage to pull himself up.

Once he is standing, the cart slips out of his grip for a few reasons. First, with the lighter front end, it tips toward him. Since he is new to walking, he cannot compensate for the tipping. The speed of the wheels makes it zoom away from him, which would have sent him down face first if we hadn't been holding onto him already. Even without the handle (which my husband removed, hoping that it would make the cart a bit safer) the cart will tip over and speed away from him. In the short time that he played with it, I cannot count how many times the cart sped away from him. When the handle is on, it would him in the head as he tumbled down. (Again, this is with two of us standing not a foot away.)

After using it with my son for two days, I figured that I must have made a mistake - I was sure that this cart must have been intended for an older toddler who has mastered walking and just needs a cart to push around. This is how I came across these reviews. I am shocked that it is intended for "early walkers". Even with direct supervision, this cart has proven extremely dangerous and poorly thought out. Overall, it is very badly engineered. I'm not sure who designed it, but I'd be surprised if anyone tested this with a child who was actually just learning to walk. As a "silver medal" we let our son travel around in the cart part while we pushed him - which he loved! Except that he stuck his fingers in the wheel and ended up very upset with what must have been quite a sting.

I gave this high marks for fun, because when my son was pushing it around he absolutely loved it. But neither he nor we, his parents, love the many bumps and stings that he has received in the short time he's had with this cart. Sadly, it has been put away and will not come out again until he has mastered walking and can use it as just a cart. I'm terribly disappointed in this product.

Haba Play Cooker Cooktop Review

Haba Play Cooker CooktopOUr 4 yr old son loves to cook and anytime we go anywhere with a pretend kitchen, we always feel guilty that we don't have one at home.Actually, prior to finding this, I was shopping for and intended to buy a larger play kitchen from Plan Toys but felt it was so tiny for the price and we are just running out of space for yet another item, even if it was on the smaller side. And our 4 yr old is really tall so we felt he would dwarf the Plan Toys kitchen set items (stove, fridge, etc.).I discovered this while looking for some wooden food items and it is perfect. We put it on a desk/table and it can also be used on the kitchen counter next to the real stove.Very durable, made in Germany and the perfect size if you want something that doesn't take up so much space.I would highly recommend this.

Discovery Wagon Review

Discovery WagonI read reviews of all of the walkers I could find and ended up splurging on this one.Although it was expensive, I am so happy with the purchase.I got this for my son when he was 8 months old and he loved it from day one.At the time, he wasn't walking, but he entertained himself easily with all of the toys attached to the walker. He now uses it to pull himself up and walk all around the house(he is now nine months old and not quite walking on his own). I'm confident that this has helped him walk faster than if he didn't have it.He also still really enjoys playing with the toys attached to the walker. It doesn't tip over (unless he tries to pull himself up on the side rather than the front or back), and he can easily push it around on the carpet or hardwood floors. He has slammed it into walls and furniture and it hasn't left any marks yet.It was definitely worth the extra money, as this might be the highest quality toy my son owns.I couldn't be happier.

Haba Walker Wagon Review

Haba Walker WagonOur 11 month old son loves this wagon and so do I.He has no problem at all pushing it on carpet and he's banged this wagon into my white wood moldings over a hundred times and it still hasn't left a mark and the wheels don't scratch or leave marks on wood floors either. I wonder if the last reviewer got a different wagon or maybe their child just isn't ready for it because I can't find anything wrong with mine. It's true that it's heavy but that's because it's solid wood and well-made and because of that it won't tip over on your child when they pull up on it.If you want a light weight cheaply made wagon that will tip over and hurt your child buy one made in China. You'll get your moneys worth with this wagon, you'll be able to pass this down to other children. Plus there are no small parts that could break off (the Radio Flyer wagon that's MADE IN CHINA has small plastic parts that many reviewers have said break off [Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon]) or lead paint (All lead paint recalls have been on China made products) on this wagon that could harm your child.Don't waste your money on plastic poisonious garbage buy this wagon and you won't regret it!
