I bought this for my son's first birthday.I was looking for a stuffed animal that he could "bond" with that didn't have any removable eyes or choking hazards since he puts EVERYTHING into his mouth.This dog is so cute and really soft and huggable.My son is now 18 months old and sleeps with it every night.I watch him in the video baby monitor snuggling with it until he falls asleep.It's soooo sweet.

Baby Review

These were my daughter's first blocks at 12 months, and it's been a pleasure to see her go from practicing gripping and picking up one block, passing it from one hand to the other, banging the blocks together (makes a great sound! enjoyable for her and muted enough for my ears) to now stacking them as many as 5 or 6 high at 17 months. Also, as far as size, I have never been concerned that my daughter would choke on these. The color stains are a nice mix. I like that they are not all primary colors, and my child is drawn to all of them. My only minor complaint is that the shiny, smooth varnish makes the blocks slide against against each other making it more challenging to stack them. In short, there's not much grip. It's not a serious flaw, and has not prevented my child from getting a lot out of playing with these blocks.

Clutching toy Dwarf Review

It's small, soft and a very sweet little face for a baby to look at. The subtle rattling sound is in the pink ball on the hat. My 6 month old could not clutch it as easily as the Haba Kringelring or other Haba wooden teethers because it is rather stout for getting little fingers around! I see it as a toy to hold for and show to my baby, rather than something to just hand to him to play with on his own. The face is printed on (the reason it does not get 5 stars) but the butterfly is embroidered.

Sea Horse Squirter Review

Tastes awful?
Why would that matter?
Hmmmmm.... because the reason i bought this whole line of bath toys is because my four month old son puts everything in his mouth, and I don't want the traditional bath toys that contain phthalates (which disrupt the endocrine system).The seahorse and the fish both taste BAD!But they squirt really well!In fact the seahorse squirts through both nostrils which is funny.
The other Haba bath toys don't taste bad, so my son plays with these and mouths the other ones (frog, mermaid, boat and pirate in the inner tube).

HABA Pram Deco Pixie's World Review

Only 2 of the pieces on the cord are attached (the car & clover). The others (middle ones) are loose so that when you tie it, they all fall to the middle. You'd think they would come attached so that there is some spacing in between each one (that is how they are shown in the pictures, not all piled up together). It didn't bother me enough to return it but I did tie some knots so that the bead pieces wouldn't all fall to the middle - the problem with that is that its almost impossible to put knots it front of the trees & I couldn't get them tied ... so after an hour of fixing this toy I gave up. I'll have to look for some non-toxic type glue gun to put a dab of glue on the two trees. It's very cute just could have been crafed better.

Fantasia Review

This would be really great except the magnets don't stick to the wood pieces.We also have the Haba Indian Summer and those magnets stick really well.These slide right off so you end up with a pile of wood shapes that don't stick to the magnet board.Also, while the other Haba magnetic arranging games have a thin wood magnetic board, this one is just a piece of cardboard.
UPDATE:I contacted HABA by email and they immediately replied saying they would take care of the problem.They sent me a new set of magnets (which have the 3M logo on the back) and so far they are sticking really well.I am very impressed with their customer service.

Haba Wooden Clip Tra-la-la Review

I bought two of these clips to clip Max and the Caterpillar on to my son's car seat. All it took was a little tug and they would pop right off. Then the metal was bent so much that they wouldn't clip to anything else after. So they kind of sat around until my friend brought her two year old over and he chewed on them until the metal piece came off of the wooden piece and he nearly choked on it! We ended up throwing them both away. We added Dragolino and my son loves all 3 of his springy pull-type toys but I don't recommend these.

Mobile Blossom Butterfly Review

This mobile is perfect.It is very good quality for the price.It looks great and my 3 month old daughter likes it.The "butterflies" are attached by magnets so they can be taken off and played with.The colors are vibrant but not over the top.Although the butterflies don't look like actual butterflies, they are very cute.I also like that it hangs from the ceiling and doesn't play music.Over all very pleased with this mobile!

Dragon's Egg Review

This toy is very cute.The egg unzips into two halves, connected at one end.It's filled with that crinkly crackly sounding material that kids seem to like (only without the suffocation hazard of a plastic shopping bag).The ridges are a firmer material--great texture variation! Discovery Balls Set of Four Review

I ordered these for my 1 year old daughter who loves balls of all shapes and sizes. She was so thrilled with the balls that came with the rolling turtles from Haba that I thought these balls, while similar, would be even more exciting!

The red ball is simply a wooden ball with 3 silver dots - not anything like the ball that is pictured. The blue one has a clear resin middle that is sort of transparent. The green one makes a faint rattling noise that is rather dull. Perhaps the most exciting one is the yellow which has a yellow-tinted looking glass. However, looking through it, it's difficult to discern anything you're looking at, and so it's not a very functional looking glass - especially for a baby.

If I had it to do over, I would not order these again. My daughter likes them as well as she does the plain balls from the rolling turtles, but unlike the turtles, I don't feel there are things to be discovered as she matures, nor do they seem to have any lasting play value.

A shame. With a little more thought these could have been pretty cool. If they all made a pleasant little sound, perhaps? As they are, they just miss the mark.

HABA 1052 Olli Review

...it's quite heavy. My nine month old loves to pick it up by its hat. However, when she waves it around she comes very close to smacking herself in the head with it. I think it's only a mater of time before it happens, so I supervise her play. I'm not sure I would buy this again.

Circo Review

We bought this toy for our twins for Christmas and they LOVE it!The colorful circles spin as the clown is pulled and they can also be removed so the kids can chew them or roll them around.Besides being a beautiful toy that will grow with our children, it is exceptionally well made.The paint doesnt come off, the pieces are well joined and the pull string is thick and sturdy.my girls are 10 months and they already know how to pull it while crawling (of course the string is tied shorter for safety)I have other HABA toys and they are simply a wonderful toy company!

Convoi Review

The price is high but it's clear that you have to pay more for better quality. This is a top-knotch, quality toy.

Our 2 year old enjoys the stacking and actually realizes that the faces go on top (although sometimes upside down). Uses the string for pulling, too, as intended of course.

Not Made in China! and is going to make a great heirloom. Would recommend.

My son has been chewing on this since he was 4 months old and he is now one and still chews on it as well as uses it as a rattle.I like the fact that he is not chewing on plastic.The paint is non-toxic and does not come off.

Haba Clutching Nanni Toy Review

I purchased this for our 3-month old son for Christmas, and it was the first toy that he could hold on his own.I especially love that the lamb is attached with Velcro so that it can be removed for cleaning, although the edges of the velcro are a little rougher than I'd like...especially considering the fact that it's meant to be chewed on.

Animal Den Review

When I first got this, I looked at all the hidden animal inserts and the elephant I couldn't tell what it was. It's the red one with the green trunk.It could use more expression. Also, another piece is a leaf, which doesn't make sense since it's all the others are animals. Those two things I had issues with but overall babies seem to like the toy.

Haba Dwarf's Land Play Rug Review

We ordered this playmat for our son's Christmas present last year. At the time, he was 13 months old. He immediately loved the car and enjoyed the features of the mat, such as the mirror, rustling door, and squeaking sun. Now, at 21 months, our son plays with this mat almost daily with much enthusiasm! He loves driving his vehicles around the village, through the houses, and under and over the bridge. He also enjoys pretending to mow the fabric grass. The 3-dimensional features of the playmat facilitated him learning several great concepts (over/under, in/out, through/around), and this toy has provided so many opportunities for vocabulary building.Something to consider is that the little wooden cars and trucks made by Bajo are perfectly sized for this mat, and those are primarily what my son uses on it. HABA's Dwarf's Land playmat is a wonderful, imaginative toy with endless play possibilities, and it is probably one of our most favorite HABA purchases.

***Update: Now our son is almost 3. We still play with this mat frequently. Perfect for pretend play. Still don't see us outgrowing it anytime soon. Money well spent!
